Job Description
An Accountant role focused on supporting financial control for an electric vehicle leasing business, involving daily financial management, process improvements, reconciliations, variance reporting, and automation of data processes within a dynamic and innovative company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for Octopus EV and report on variances
- Work with the team, company, and funders to rectify financial variances
- Assist with day-to-day financial management and identify commercial risks or opportunities
- Implement process improvements and automate financial processes using large data sets
- Support the accounting team in financial control functions
Requirements
- Experience in preparing monthly reconciliations and reporting on variances.
- Ability to work within a team to assist with day-to-day financial management and identify commercial risks or opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.
- Self-driven and able to own accounts and processes independently.
- Ability to automate processes using large data sets.
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements in financial controls and internal processes.
