Job Description
This internship supports the Investor Relations and Communications team at Octopus Energy's impact investment trust, ORIT, providing exposure to listed markets, renewable energy, and strategic communications. The role involves assisting with reporting, content creation, and stakeholder engagement to promote understanding of ORIT's strategy and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the IR and Communications team in preparing investor reports and materials
- Assist in creating content for investor communications, educational resources, and thought leadership
- Contribute to analyzing peer positioning and market trends
- Support the delivery of reporting cycles and proactive communication initiatives
- Help improve stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
Requirements
- Candidates must identify with any Black, Black British, African or Caribbean background, as the internship programme is only open to these candidates.
- Ability to support the Investor Relations and Communications function for ORIT, including assisting with financial reporting, investor materials, media engagement, digital communications, and educational content.
- Willingness to work closely with the Head of IR Listed and external agencies, contributing to reporting cycles and proactive communications initiatives.
- Support the analysis of peer positioning and contribute to the development of investor materials, educational content, and thought leadership.
- Support key projects and initiatives aimed at improving stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for Octopus Energy’s mission to drive the global renewable revolution and make green energy affordable for all.
- Be currently studying or have studied a relevant field (implied by the context, such as business, communications, finance, or related disciplines).
- Ability to work in a hands-on, proactive manner, supporting both strategic and executional aspects of investor relations and communications.
- Excellent written communication skills to create clear and effective content for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn about listed markets, renewable energy, and strategic communications within a listed renewables company.
