Job Description
A software engineer role focused on developing and maintaining data platforms, simulation tools, or technical infrastructure to support autonomous vehicle technology at Nuro.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Data Platform for AI Driver data, labels, and metrics, including data ingestion, annotation, and introspection.
- Build and maintain the simulator for developing and testing autonomous driving technology, including sensor simulation and scenario generation.
- Develop and support core technical infrastructure services such as compute platforms, storage management, cloud infrastructure, and engineering productivity tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in software engineering or related fields.
- A Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C, or Go.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: large-scale distributed systems, data storage and processing systems, modern microservice architecture, machine learning, multithreading, x86 architecture and software performance tuning and optimization, robotics software frameworks, or different compute modalities such as CPU, GPU, FPGA.
