A Senior Photonics Characterization Engineer will be responsible for developing and performing characterization techniques for advanced silicon photonics-based LiDAR systems used in autonomous vehicle sensing and perception applications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform photonics characterization to evaluate device performance
Develop and implement testing procedures for photonic components
Analyze and interpret characterization data to inform product development
Requirements
Expertise in photonics characterization with a strong understanding of photonics measurement techniques and processes
Experience in photonics device testing, measurement, and analysis relevant to silicon photonics components
Proven ability to develop and implement characterization procedures for photonics devices and systems
Demonstrated experience working within a core engineering team focused on photonics or optical sensing technologies
Knowledge of the design, fabrication, and testing of 4D LiDAR systems or similar high-resolution sensing technologies is preferred
Ability to work on projects related to autonomous vehicle sensing and perception systems
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex photonics measurement issues
Educational background in photonics, optical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (specific degree requirements not provided but implied)
