Job Description
Nuro is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to develop and implement real-time pose estimation systems for autonomous robots, focusing on sensor fusion, algorithm robustness, and deployment in safety-critical environments to advance robot navigation in logistics and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, real-time vehicle pose estimation solutions for mobile robots
- Research, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art, safe, and reliable pose estimation algorithms
- Analyze and evaluate the accuracy and performance of pose estimation algorithms across platforms
- Build, test, and deploy well-tested C/C++ software on robotic platforms and in simulation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sensor selection and architecture for next-generation vehicles
Requirements
- You have a PhD and or Masters Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field.
- You have a deep understanding of state estimation, probabilistic filtering, and 3D geometry.
- You have experience developing pose estimation algorithms with sensors such as IMU, motor resolvers or encoders, GPS, etc., and sensor fusion.
- You have three years or more of industry experience as a software engineer.
- You have strong C/C++ programming skills, developing well-tested, safety critical software.
- You have hands-on experience developing sensor fusion or filtering algorithms for autonomous vehicles, drones, or similar applications.
