Job Description
The AI Operations Engineer at Gatik is responsible for managing and securing the company's AI platforms, designing retrieval-augmented generation architectures, building AI workflows, and ensuring data privacy and security in AI applications to support autonomous middle-mile logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and secure the AI suite, including Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Granola AI.
- Design, maintain, and secure RAG architecture, vector databases, and data pipelines for internal AI.
- Implement identity-aware retrieval to prevent data leaks and ensure AI access control.
- Build and tune AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Zapier to automate business processes.
- Protect the organization against AI-specific threats such as prompt injection and data poisoning.
- Monitor and optimize AI performance metrics including latency, token usage, and accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience administering Enterprise AI platforms including Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT.
- Strong Python skills for building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and interacting with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs.
- Familiarity with Vector Databases such as Pinecone and AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex.
- Understanding of the security intersection between Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems such as Google Okta and AI data retrieval processes.
- Familiarity with data privacy standards and the ability to mask Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within AI prompts.
- The role is onsite 5 days a week at the Mountain View, CA office, indicating the requirement for physical presence at the specified location.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $170,000 to $220,000
