Job Description
The role involves designing and developing sensor and compute systems for autonomous vehicles, including hardware integration, driver development, and system debugging to enhance the reliability and performance of Nuro's self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop sensor and compute systems for robotics
- Architect and deploy autonomous software for sensors with high reliability and performance
- Monitor metrics, automate testing, and collaborate with vendors to ensure reliable software
- Debug complex systems and root-cause failure modes
- Drive cross-functional projects related to sensors and compute for autonomous vehicles
Requirements
- Experience in robotics or autonomous driving systems
- Proven ability to deep dive into embedded and real-time systems
- Proficiency in C, with emphasis on concurrency
- Familiarity with the role of the Linux kernel in driver performance
- At least 2 years of industry experience
- Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Design and develop sensor and compute systems for robotics
- Architect and/or deploy Nuro sensors autonomous software with high reliability and performance
- Deliver reliable software through metrics monitoring, automated testing, and vendor collaboration
- Debug complex systems, root-cause failure modes, and deploy effective solutions
- Drive cross-functional projects on sensors and compute for autonomous vehicles
