Job Description
Develop and maintain the backend systems for Nuro's autonomous ride-hailing and delivery services, focusing on integrating vehicle data, processing ride requests, and enabling seamless user and partner interactions through reliable APIs and real-time data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate ride-hailing products leveraging autonomous vehicle technology
- Process ride requests by integrating partner APIs
- Translate user actions into vehicle controls through vehicle integrations
- Manage real-time vehicle and trip status data
- Design and build reliable backend systems for real-time vehicle data processing
- Create and maintain APIs to enable seamless product experiences
- Collaborate on planning, matching, and executing rides and deliveries
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go.
- Demonstrated ability to build, launch, and rapidly iterate on products, including end-to-end product development from requirements gathering and scoping to launch and post-launch iteration, with a particular strength in the early stages of development from zero to one.
- Strong knowledge of GCP, CloudSQL, BigQuery, or Redis.
- Proven ability to set technical and product vision for teams or projects, including timelines and prioritization, and experience as a formal or informal Tech Lead, mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
