Job Description
The role involves designing and developing onboard sensor and compute systems for autonomous vehicles, including hardware integration, software development, debugging, and cross-functional project leadership to enhance the reliability and performance of self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop sensor and compute systems for robotics
- Architect and deploy autonomous software with high reliability and performance
- Monitor metrics, automate testing, and collaborate with vendors to ensure reliable software
- Debug complex systems, identify root causes of failures, and implement solutions
- Lead cross-functional projects related to sensors and compute for autonomous vehicles
- Mentor software engineers to enhance their skills
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Four (4) years of experience with a Ph.D. degree
- Proven ability to deep dive into complex real-time systems
- Strong proficiency in C programming, with emphasis on concurrency system software development
- Experience in developing system software from the device driver to the application level
- Deep understanding of Linux kernel-level algorithmic correctness and performance optimization
- Experience in robotics or autonomous driving systems
- Technical excellence in software development
- Clear and concise communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, PMs, and other stakeholders
