Job Description

The Project Sourcing Manager at Nexamp is responsible for managing supplier relationships, cost savings, and procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle to support clean energy initiatives. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and technological innovation in renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive product material cost savings during project acquisition and lifecycle phases.
  • Support technology roadmap and manufacturability through supplier interface.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply base effectively meets internal and external needs.
  • Manage project timelines related to supplier performance from preconstruction to PTO.
  • Analyze quotations and determine sourcing strategies using TCO tools and should-cost analysis.
  • Contribute to supplier selection and innovation input for new or existing products.
  • Forecast equipment demand and manage equipment lists within regional project portfolios.
  • Negotiate prices and track project equipment budgets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders through communication and reviews.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in supplier quality management, sourcing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer-oriented person with professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication abilities.
  • ERP knowledge and experience, e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, Baan, Visual, etc.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing techniques, including strategic supplier concepts.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others.
  • Understanding of inventory management requirements.
  • Previous experience working in the development cycle of new products.
  • Commodity Management, Materials Management, Procurement, and Project Management experience or education backgrounds.
  • CPIM or APICS certification or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Physical ability to work in a hybrid environment (office-based at Boston or Chicago) as required.
  • Ability to support price negotiations related to material project costs within their portfolio.
  • Ability to manage multiple equipment lists within the regional project portfolio for completeness, material readiness, and adherence to milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
