Job Description

The Senior Utility-Scale Development Finance Associate supports Nexamp's renewable energy projects by coordinating between development and capital markets teams, managing financial models, and facilitating financing transactions to advance utility-scale solar and energy storage initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Utility-Scale Development team and Capital Markets, translating project updates into financial and strategic inputs.
  • Maintain and update financial models for evaluating utility-scale project opportunities.
  • Coordinate and track deliverables during the execution of financing transactions, ensuring timely submission of materials.
  • Prepare and update utility-scale financing facilities, including lender reporting and covenant compliance tracking.
  • Monitor market trends, financing structures, and investor activity to support capital deployment decisions.
  • Prepare presentations and internal materials to support project decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, project finance, development finance, capital markets, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret project economics and support scenario analysis.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and clearly communicate project-level information through presentations, memos, and approval materials that support diligence, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Experience supporting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or valuation work, preferably in energy or infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with project finance concepts, including debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer, or other structured financing solutions.
  • Experience supporting due diligence, transaction execution, or management of financing or investment processes.
  • Understanding of key project development inputs such as schedule, budget, commercial assumptions, and milestone tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including preparing presentations, transaction summaries, and internal approval materials.
  • Ability to support coordination of internal workstreams and track deliverables during the execution of debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer, and other structured financing transactions.
  • Ability to prepare and update utility-scale financing facilities, including lender reporting, covenant compliance tracking, and coordinate inputs with internal teams and financing counterparties.
