Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations of Nevados, a renewable energy company specializing in solar tracker technology, by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and investor relations to support the company's growth and industry scaling efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the company's financial strategy and organization
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes
- Manage investor relations and communicate financial performance to stakeholders
- Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure financial alignment
- Drive long-term cost optimization and financial planning for product manufacturing and project delivery
Requirements
- Experience in leading a financial organization and guiding a company through growth phases in the solar tracker industry or similar capex-intensive industries such as solar, construction EPC, or hardware manufacturing.
- Ability to shape company-wide financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Experience providing clear leadership across investor relations.
- Partnering closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, field deployment, and commercial teams to ensure financial alignment across product manufacturing, project delivery, and long-term cost optimization.
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other events as needed.
- Candidates must be able to be in the Oakland office as needed, with a preference for candidates in the SF Bay Area.
- Full-time employment status with the ability to manage time effectively and work in a distributed organization with remote and in-office roles.
- Ability to perform a highly cross-functional and hands-on role focused on scaling a renewable energy company.
- Strong strategic and operational discipline skills related to financial management and planning.
