Job Description
The Manufacturing Software Engineer develops automated test software frameworks and tools to support satellite subsystem and system-level testing in a production environment, focusing on improving test reliability, speed, and troubleshooting in a hands-on, hardware-close role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust, scalable test software frameworks for satellite subsystem and system-level testing
- Translate test requirements into automated scripts and tools
- Improve troubleshooting workflows to enhance test reliability and speed
- Operate close to hardware in an AIT manufacturing environment
- Support manufacturing builds by increasing test repeatability and execution efficiency
Requirements
- Strong coding skills to develop automated scripts and tools for satellite subsystem and system-level testing in a production environment.
- Experience translating test requirements into efficient, automated test software frameworks.
- Ability to improve troubleshooting workflows related to satellite manufacturing and testing processes.
- Proven ability to enhance test repeatability, reliability, and execution speed across manufacturing builds.
- Hands-on engineering experience operating close to hardware in an AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) manufacturing setting.
- Structured troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues in satellite testing and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment supporting satellite production at scale.
