Job Description

The Solutions Architect will support defense and intelligence customers by implementing, integrating, and customizing the Planet Platform to meet their operational needs, providing training, designing workflows, and translating requirements into technical solutions to enable mission-critical data access and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Implement, integrate, and analyze new software and data products to extend the Planet Platform for defense and intelligence customers
Train users on Planet products and support their operational workflows
Translate operational requirements into actionable product feedback for engineering teams
Design workflows, define data models, and configure integrations to meet customer mission needs
Prototype, test, and adjust workflows based on real operational needs
Collaborate with customer teams to understand their workflows, pain points, and priorities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Systems Engineering, or similar fields.
At least 4 years of experience supporting Defense and Intelligence (D I) customers, with specialized technical experience in systems integration.
Fluent in Golang, Python, and Postgresql, with experience in React or related technologies.
Experience with cloud deployments on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Solid problem-solving and systems thinking skills.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to quickly learn new technical domains and tools.
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
Deep curiosity and willingness to dive into operational details.
Fluency in translating between technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience solving complex problems through analytical skills.
Experience scaling and maintaining production systems.
