Job Description
A Field Service Commissioning Engineer Technician responsible for on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and supervision of combustion and fired equipment in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, fault analysis, and installation supervision of combustion equipment
- Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), site visit reports, and maintain timesheets for clients
- Start up and maintain Zeeco's combustion systems, including flare systems, burners, oxidizers, and pollution control equipment
- Identify opportunities for additional aftermarket spares and site service support
- Supervise on-site turnaround outages and deliver training to end-user personnel
- Adhere to health and safety policies to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Strong technical background with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and PLC control systems.
- Experience with PLC programming, specifically with Siemens and Allen Bradley systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
- Willingness to travel extensively, potentially over 200 days per year.
- Safety-conscious attitude, with comfort working at heights, in confined spaces, and offshore environments, and a commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good computer skills.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Experience in conducting on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, fault analysis, and installation supervision of legacy and retrofit equipment in the combustion, oil, gas, or petrochemical industries.
