Job Description
The Director of Industrial Management will lead and optimize operations across various functions such as manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and facilities to support reliable production and scaling for a growing space-systems manufacturer transitioning from startup to industrialized production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional operations including AIT, QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and Test to ensure alignment, readiness, and execution for deliveries and scaling.
- Partner with VP of Operations and functional leaders to develop processes, capacity models, and operational rhythms supporting reliable production.
- Drive operational improvements to enable higher throughput and scalable manufacturing in the aerospace/avionics space industry.
Requirements
- Deep aerospace or avionics manufacturing experience
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills
- Talent for turning complex operational challenges into clear, executable plans
- Experience working across all Operations functions including Assembly, Integration, Testing (AIT), Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and Test
- Ability to build processes, capacity models, and operational rhythms that support reliable production and prepare the organization for higher throughput
- Experience partnering closely with senior leadership, specifically the VP of Operations and functional leaders
- Experience in transitioning a company from startup mode into an industrialized manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to drive alignment, readiness, and execution for near-term deliveries and long-term scaling
