Job Description
The Renewable Energy Mentorship Program offers paid internships and training for college students interested in pursuing careers in renewable energy, providing hands-on experience, industry exposure, and professional development opportunities to prepare participants for full-time roles in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of wholesale energy market operations and renewable energy technology
- Provide foundational energy analysis skills to scholars
- Facilitate professional development activities such as informational interviews, mock interviews, and industry networking
- Guide students through project development processes of wind or solar projects
- Coordinate with participating companies to deliver diverse lessons and hands-on projects
- Support students in developing industry-specific knowledge through real project assignments
- Organize social events and ensure a positive internship experience in Seattle
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong interest in Energy
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills with some demonstrated coursework in these areas
- A commitment to the program, willingness to learn, and a passion for renewable energy
- A commitment to spending the duration of the program in Seattle
