Job Description
The Nuclear Controls Engineer will lead the development of control systems for pilot reactor systems, focusing on instrumentation, operator interfaces, and ensuring safe and reliable control performance through interdisciplinary coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of control requirements for pilot reactor systems
- Guide instrumentation and operator interface design
- Ensure safe, reliable, and responsive control performance
- Define control system requirements and evaluate technical alternatives
- Coordinate across technical disciplines to integrate control systems
Requirements
- Experience in leading the development of control requirements for reactor systems or similar nuclear or industrial control systems.
- Deep understanding of reactor dynamics.
- Practical controls engineering expertise.
- Ability to define control system requirements.
- Ability to evaluate control system alternatives.
- Experience in guiding instrumentation and operator interface design.
- Capability to coordinate across technical disciplines related to control systems, instrumentation, and reactor operations.
