Job Description
A TechOps Architect at Kraken is responsible for high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions, supporting the company's innovative energy management platform, while also assisting with day-to-day support and organizational change within a cloud-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Make high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions for the business
- Assist with day-to-day support across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support levels
- Maintain a broad and deep knowledge of all areas of IT, including software engineering, security, and platform architecture
- Shape and define the TechOps team and support services
- Drive organizational change and problem-solving initiatives within TechOps
Requirements
- Experience in making high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions around the business.
- Interest and/or experience in related areas such as software engineering, security, platform architecture, UI/UX design.
- Ability to spend some time helping out with day-to-day 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support.
- Wide breadth of knowledge and experience across all areas of IT, with an immensely deep understanding of those areas.
- Experience or interest in roles such as 3rd line support, DevOps Engineer, Systems architect, Systems designer, Systems engineer, Network Architect, Workplace technology, Solutions specialist, Solutions designer, Solutions architect, Enterprise Architect.
- Strong problem-solving skills to tackle big problems and work across a broad scope of work.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and work on varying challenges across the company.
- Experience working in a cloud-first environment, with a focus on cloud-based solutions (no on-premises Active Directory).
