Job Description

The Technical Account Manager will lead strategic technical relationships with energy clients, driving technical engagement, value realization, and strategic alignment to support the company's mission of creating a sustainable, AI-driven energy management platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic technical relationships with utility and energy clients
  • Drive deep technical engagement, value realization, and strategic alignment across accounts
  • Act as a liaison, advocate, and manage the day-to-day technical experience for clients

Requirements

  • Lead strategic technical relationships with some of Kraken’s largest utility and energy clients, demonstrating the ability to manage high-impact, complex accounts.
  • Work with the Client Partner and Client Engineering teams to drive deep technical engagement, value realization, and strategic alignment across assigned accounts.
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience in enterprise architecture, technical guiding, and driving value realization within energy management systems.
  • Have experience in managing or supporting technical experience, acting as a liaison, and advocating for clients in technical matters.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain executive-level technical relationships with clients.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of energy management platforms, including Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications, and how these systems integrate within energy utilities.
  • Possess relevant education or equivalent experience in a technical field related to energy, software engineering, or information technology.
  • Have a proven track record of working in roles that require strategic technical engagement, preferably within the energy or utility sectors.
  • Be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to clients and internal teams.
  • Be capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Client Partner and Client Engineering to achieve strategic goals.
  • Have the ability to understand and align with clients’ technical and business needs to ensure successful implementation and adoption of energy management solutions.
