Job Description

The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and engaging with prospective customers to support the company's IoT solutions for physical operations across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Generate sales opportunities and build relationships with prospective customers
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions in CRM Salesforce
  • Become a product and sales process expert to effectively engage prospects
  • Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with potential clients
  • Support the sales team by creating high-quality sales engagements and supporting account development
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and other team members to develop territory plans and strategies
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to improve sales skills and product knowledge

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
  • 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Highly proficient in English
  • Curious and able to ask insightful questions
  • Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
  • Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
  • Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
  • Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience in working from our London office at 1 Alie Street, Aldgate East, E1 8DE twice per week (hybrid position)
  • Willingness to participate in training programs and professional development opportunities
  • Ability to maintain meticulous records of interactions with accounts in our CRM Salesforce.com
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment and achieve sales objectives
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain resilience in outbound sales activities
  • Willingness to learn and become a product expert and learn the Samsara way of selling
  • Ability to participate in trade shows and represent the Samsara brand (if applicable)
  • Ability to support the development of sales pipeline through outbound outreach via phone, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to build relationships with prospects and support account development
  • Willingness to support and participate in Samsara’s ADR program for career progression
  • Ability to learn and develop hard skills needed in the Sales function, including tools like Salesforce, Salesloft, and Lusha
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Account Executives and other team members as part of a high-performance sales culture
