Job Description
The Software Engineer - Commercials will develop and maintain systems related to product sales, contracts, and customer engagement within Kraken's energy management platform, contributing to innovative solutions for a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions for energy management and commercial sales systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end sales capabilities
- Implement features related to product catalog, contracts, sales channels, and sales process automation
- Optimize software for customer information systems, billing, meter data management, and AI-driven communications
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on developing and maintaining complex systems, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages relevant to the role, such as Java, Python, or similar, demonstrated through previous work or projects.
- Experience working within the energy management or utility industry is preferred, especially with Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, or related systems.
- Ability to design, develop, and implement end-to-end sales capability systems, including product catalog, contracts, sales channels, leads, quotes, and offers.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including working at a computer for extended periods, if applicable.
