Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications within a global energy technology company focused on creating sustainable and smart energy systems. The role involves collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to build impactful solutions that support renewable energy and fight climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain high-quality, clean, and well-documented software code.
- Collaborate closely with peers to design and develop applications with a global impact.
- Ensure the use of appropriate technologies and adhere to coding standards.
- Participate in building scalable, high-standard software applications.
- Onboard new team members and contribute to a positive developer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on building high-quality, scalable applications, collaborating closely with experienced peers in a global team environment.
- Ability to ensure clean software design, make appropriate technology choices, and participate in building applications to very high standards that have a significant global impact.
- Experience in onboarding new team members, maintaining good documentation, writing clean code, and contributing to a positive developer experience.
- Strong coding skills with a high level of enthusiasm for coding extensively as part of daily work.
- Ability to work in a team that uses agile methodologies such as Kanban, and familiarity with tools like Notion, Asana, Github, CircleCI, Terraform Enterprise, Datadog, Sentry, and Cloudwatch.
- Experience with server-side, client-side, or mobile engineering, working in multidisciplinary teams including UX experts, copywriters, and designers.
- Knowledge of open-source coding conventions and practices.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in a relevant field (implied, as the posting emphasizes experience and skills).
