Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development and enhancement of Kraken's innovative energy management platform, focusing on creating sustainable solutions for energy, water, and broadband utilities through advanced software design and AI-driven technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and re-architect the Kraken software platform for energy, water, and broadband utilities.
  • Implement solutions to solve complex industry-wide problems such as customer experience and water leak detection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features and improvements to the platform.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in the UK and in our London office on a hybrid remote policy of 1-2 days a week onsite.
  • Experience in software engineering with a focus on developing and architecting complex software platforms.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and re-architecting software solutions over the last 3 years.
  • Strong skills in creating scalable, reliable, and efficient software systems for energy, water, or broadband utility industries.
  • Experience with customer experience water leak detection or similar industry-wide problems is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to a global team of at least 120 people.
  • Demonstrated ability to help shape and define the future of a software platform at a global scale.
  • Strong understanding of advanced Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications is preferred.
  • Ability to work in accordance with applicable data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA, and to understand privacy policies related to data handling.
