Job Description
The Senior Mid Software Engineer will contribute to developing and shaping innovative energy technology products, focusing on creating a sustainable energy system using modern software engineering practices and tools. The role involves working on impactful projects within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to advance energy solutions globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken
- Apply modern technologies to develop impactful projects in the energy sector
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of server-side systems using Python, Django, and GraphQL
- Implement continuous deployment and infrastructure management using tools like Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CircleCI
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on server-side development using Python.
- Experience working with Django, Django-REST-framework, and GraphQL Graphene in web development projects.
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices including continuous delivery and immutable infrastructure.
- Experience with container orchestration and deployment using Kubernetes and AWS.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Github, CircleCI, ArgoCD, and Spacelift.
- Experience with monitoring and performance measurement tools such as Loggly, Sentry, and DataDog.
- Ability to shape the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken and work on impactful projects from the ground up.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team of around 800 people.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment emphasizing collaboration, continuous learning, and growth.
- Legal right to work in the country where the position is based at the time of application.
- Willingness to work in a role that involves applying modern technologies to the energy sector to contribute to a sustainable energy future.
