Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and Django, responsible for developing and maintaining energy management systems, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative, sustainable energy solutions using cloud-based technologies and continuous deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Python and Django
- Implement and optimize APIs with Django-REST-framework and GraphQL Graphene
- Participate in continuous deployment processes using AWS, CircleCI, and related tools
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Python development, with a strong emphasis on Django, Django-REST-framework, and GraphQL Graphene.
- Experience working in a server-side development environment using Python and related frameworks such as Django.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and deploying web applications using Django and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, specifically GraphQL Graphene, for API development.
- Experience working with AWS services as part of a continuous deployment pipeline, including familiarity with Django, ELB health checks, and continuous delivery practices.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, collaborating closely with other engineers, UX experts, copywriters, and designers.
- Experience working in an environment that follows a Kanban-like approach using tools such as Google Docs, Asana, Github, and CircleCI.
- Experience with performance measurement and monitoring tools such as Sentry and CloudWatch in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including immutable infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a team and contribute to open-source coding conventions when applicable.
