Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer role focused on developing and maintaining shared platforms, tooling, and patterns to enable effective and reliable use of AI and machine learning across the organization, primarily through day-to-day engineering of AI-enabled software and supporting AI adoption initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build shared platforms, tooling, and patterns to enable safe, reliable, and efficient use of machine learning and generative AI across teams.
- Assist Kraken engineers in adopting new AI models and tools.
- Develop internal tooling to make AI and ML integration reliable, repeatable, and user-friendly.
- Engineer the day-to-day shipping and operation of AI-enabled software.
- Collaborate with AI Foundations team, AI Foundry, customer-facing AI teams, and other engineers to provide guidance and build shared components.
- Accelerate AI adoption across the organization by building and maintaining AI infrastructure and components.
Requirements
- Experience in day-to-day engineering of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) shipping and operating AI-enabled software, rather than building underlying models from scratch.
- Proficiency in building shared components, tooling, and patterns that enable engineering product teams to safely, reliably, and efficiently use machine learning and generative AI across the business.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to engineering teams, including AI Foundations, AI Foundry, customer-facing AI teams, and other engineers across Kraken, to accelerate AI adoption.
- Strong understanding of platform engineering, applied machine learning, and developer enablement in a delivery-focused environment.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to build internal tooling that makes AI and ML integration reliable, repeatable, and easy to use across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment, providing guidance and building shared components for AI/ML integration.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in software engineering, computer science, or related fields (implied, as the role is senior level).
