Job Description

A Senior Frontend Engineer responsible for developing and enhancing a web-based business process management platform within KrakenFlow, focusing on creating user-friendly, drag-and-drop workflow tools using modern agile practices and technologies to support innovative energy management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the front-end of the web-based business process management platform
  • Implement user interfaces with a focus on usability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve the platform's features
  • Contribute to the development of a drag-and-drop workflow builder
  • Ensure code quality through adherence to coding conventions and open-source standards
  • Monitor and optimize application performance using tools like Sentry and CloudWatch
  • Participate in agile development processes, including planning and continuous delivery

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on developing web-based applications.
  • Solid proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience working with modern frontend frameworks and libraries, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex user interfaces that are user-friendly and performant.
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically GitHub.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including tools like CircleCI.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and deployment automation using tools such as Terraform Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring and error tracking tools like Sentry and CloudWatch.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment using tools like Notion, Asana, and Figma for planning and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to challenge and be challenged by team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to work in our New York City office or remotely within the East Coast region timezone; candidates outside this region will not be considered.
  • Ability to thrive in an early-stage product development environment with a focus on solving tough problems and delivering delightful user experiences.
