Job Description
A Senior Back End Engineer responsible for developing and prototyping AI-driven solutions within a company focused on creating sustainable energy management platforms. The role involves working across the product lifecycle to automate processes, explore new technologies, and help shape the company's AI success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems for energy management platform
- Identify and explore new technologies to enhance product capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and implement innovative solutions
- Rapidly prototype AI-driven features to improve business processes
- Automate processes to reduce migration times and improve efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Back End Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on backend development.
- Experience working across the entire product lifecycle, including exploration, validation, rapid prototyping, and implementation of new technologies.
- Ability to identify and utilize new technologies to bring value to the business through exploration and validation.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams around the business to validate ideas and ensure their practical application.
- Demonstrated ability to automate processes to improve efficiency, such as cutting months off migration times for new clients.
- Strong understanding of AI-driven solutions and their application in energy management or related fields.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address pressing business problems with innovative technical solutions.
- Ability to work in a small, expert team environment, collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to work closely with teams around the business and validate ideas.
- Experience with building scalable, reliable backend systems that support advanced customer information systems, billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, or related technical fields.
- Physical and mental capacity to work on complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
