Job Description
A Sales Operations Analyst responsible for providing data-driven insights into sales performance, forecasting, and deal analysis to support strategic decision-making within a technology-driven energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Own reporting on sales pipeline, bookings, ARR, conversion rates, and deal velocity
- Produce weekly and monthly sales performance reports for senior leadership
- Analyze funnel performance, win/loss drivers, pipeline quality, and sales capacity
- Identify risks and opportunities in the sales pipeline and surface insights
- Partner with Finance on short-term and medium-term revenue forecasting
- Challenge sales forecasts using historical data and trends
- Support annual planning, quota setting, capacity modeling, and scenario analysis
- Analyze pricing, discounting, contract terms, and deal structure trends
- Support deal reviews with data-driven insights on risk, margin, and precedent
- Ensure data accuracy and improve pipeline discipline within Hubspot
- Enhance dashboards, workflows, and automation in sales systems
- Act as a bridge between Finance and Sales for analytical support
- Support ad-hoc analysis for strategic initiatives, board materials, and investor discussions
Requirements
- 2 to 6 years experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Analytics, or FP&A with significant exposure to sales data
- Experience in a B2B SaaS or technology-enabled business is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Hubspot
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into clear commercial insight
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills comfortable working with large datasets
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and confidently with senior stakeholders
- Highly structured, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
- Commercially curious and outcome-focused
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scaling environment
- Takes ownership and improves processes rather than simply reporting on them
