Job Description
The Office Manager will support the smooth operation of Kraken's growing Japan team by handling administrative tasks, coordinating office activities, and ensuring a positive and efficient work environment to help drive the company's mission of creating a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily office operations in Tokyo
- Support the onboarding and administrative needs of the Japan team
- Organize meetings, events, and office logistics
- Maintain office supplies and facilities management
- Assist with communication and coordination across teams and external partners
Requirements
- The candidate must be able to commute to the Tokyo office 4 days a week as this is an office-based role.
- The candidate must be highly organized, proactive, and full of positive energy to ensure smooth operations behind the scenes.
- The candidate must have experience supporting a team or office operations, demonstrating the ability to keep a fast-growing team functioning effectively.
- The candidate must be able to support the people building the future of energy, implying strong interpersonal and support skills.
- The candidate must be able to work in Japan and support the energy transition in Japan, indicating familiarity with the local work environment and possibly Japanese language skills.
- The candidate must demonstrate honesty and empathy, aligning with the company's values of genuine decency and strong interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must be able to handle responsibilities related to supporting office functions, which may include administrative tasks, coordination, and logistical support.
- The candidate must be able to work in an environment that values diversity and inclusion, respecting all protected attributes as per company policy.
