Job Description
The Head of Strategic Operations is responsible for leading the company's AI transformation by integrating AI-first features into products and processes, managing AI engineering teams, securing strategic partnerships, and overseeing AI governance and adoption to drive company-wide innovation and efficiency in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Accelerate AI transformation by embedding AI-first features into core products and processes
- Deploy AI engineers into product teams to deliver AI solutions
- Build internal accelerators and tools to improve operational efficiency
- Lead execution of mission-critical AI projects requiring cross-organizational coordination
- Secure strategic partnerships related to AI
- Manage procurement, contracting, and vendor relationships for AI tools and services
- Drive AI adoption, upskilling, and promotion across the organization
- Build and deploy an AI delivery transformation team to ensure AI tools are embedded and effective
- Create and maintain the playbook for Kraken’s Utility Grade AI and responsible AI governance
- Develop messaging and positioning about AI internally and externally
Requirements
- Experience in providing operational leadership to turn new AI infrastructure into company-wide transformation, making AI the default way Kraken thinks, builds, hires, serves clients, and grows.
- Ability to accelerate Kraken’s AI transformation by embedding AI-first features into core products and processes.
- Experience deploying a team of AI engineers into product teams to deliver AI solutions in partnership with product teams.
- Proven ability to deploy an internal AI engineering team to build internal accelerators and tools that transform operational efficiency.
- Experience owning the execution of AI-related, mission-critical projects requiring cross-organizational coordination.
- Ability to work with the Chief AI Officer to secure strategic partnerships.
- Experience leading procurement, contracting, and negotiation related to AI projects.
- Proven ability to drive delivery in coordination across product teams, Legal, and Security Privacy departments.
- Experience leading the promotion of AI use, upskilling, and adoption across an organization.
- Ability to build and deploy an AI delivery transformation team to ensure AI tools are embedded, adopted, and deliver outcomes throughout the organization.
- Experience partnering with the Chief AI Officer to create a playbook for Kraken’s Utility Grade AI, including how to use data with AI, communication strategies, governance, and responsible-use processes.
- Ability to work with SMEs in the organization, product marketing, and PR to develop messaging and positioning about AI internally and externally.
- Experience owning all internal AI budgets, tooling, and vendor partner relationships.
