Job Description
A hands-on Machine Learning Engineer role focused on developing, maintaining, and improving AI-driven products within a smart energy platform, working closely with software systems and collaborating across teams to deliver innovative solutions for utility industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve machine learning features for live products, focusing on shipping and incremental enhancements.
- Write production-quality Python code and work closely with databases and systems integration.
- Support feature delivery and maintenance of the Companion RAG-based chatbot.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to implement ML solutions.
- Contribute to the re-architecture and development of the Kraken software platform within the utilities sector.
Requirements
- Experience as a hands-on, delivery-focused Machine Learning (ML) engineer working on mature, live products where the priority is shipping, improving, and maintaining features.
- Comfortable working very close to the software layer, with proficiency in production Python code, databases, and systems.
- Ability to support feature delivery, maintenance, and incremental improvements for a RAG-based chatbot (Companion product).
- Ability to collaborate closely with product managers and engineers across Kraken.
- Work in the UK and be able to work in the London office on a hybrid remote policy of 1-2 days a week onsite.
