Job Description
The Head of Engineering for Data, ML, and AI Tools will lead multiple teams developing AI-powered solutions, voice interfaces, and analytics products to support utility clients and internal operations, focusing on delivering innovative machine learning models and tools for the energy, water, and broadband sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple high-impact teams building AI-powered tools, voice interfaces, analytics products, and machine learning models for utility clients and internal teams.
- Manage Engineering Leads and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategy.
- Deliver production-grade systems supporting utility use cases such as water leakage detection and customer churn prediction.
- Drive innovation across LLM, data, and ML domains.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading multiple high-impact engineering teams building AI-powered tools, voice interfaces, analytics products, and machine learning models in a professional setting.
- Experience managing a group of Engineering Leads and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define technical strategy, deliver production-grade systems, and drive innovation across LLM, data, and ML domains.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver agent-assist tools such as AnswerBots and customer-facing VoiceBots, as well as predictive models for utility use cases including water leakage detection and churn prediction.
- Experience developing client dashboards that turn data into actionable insights for utility clients.
- Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, data engineering, and large language models (LLMs).
- Ability to manage and lead teams responsible for building AI-driven solutions supporting utility clients and internal teams.
- Experience in creating and deploying production-quality systems in a scalable and reliable manner.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and operations.
- Strong leadership skills to manage multiple teams and engineering leads effectively.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Commitment to delivering innovative solutions that support utility industries such as water and broadband sectors.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
