Job Description
The role involves serving as a trusted advisor to C-suite and operational leaders to design, implement, and improve future-oriented utility models, focusing on organizational design, change management, and strategic transformation within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders and operational leaders to design, execute, and improve utility models of the future
- Inspire change and share wisdom to make complex problems solvable for energy specialists and executives
- Help clients optimize organizational structures and business functions to enhance performance and innovation
Requirements
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders and a client’s key operational leaders with a mission to help clients design, execute, and improve their utilities model of the future.
- Be an impact-driven operational leader who is credible and inspiring, with the ability to reference decisions made, including good, bad, and surprising ones, to help make hard and challenging problems feel solvable for energy specialists through to CEOs.
- Possess experience in designing, executing, and improving organizational models within the energy or utilities sector.
- Demonstrate the ability to inspire change in others and reference past decisions to guide clients effectively.
- Have a strong understanding of energy industry challenges and opportunities related to organizational design and transformation.
- Possess excellent communication skills to share wisdom and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and operational leaders.
- Be able to reference and apply knowledge of organizational design principles, including target organizational models, innovation, and data practices.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in operational leadership, organizational design, or a related field within the energy or utilities industry.
- Possess a proven track record of successfully leading organizational change initiatives at a senior level.
- Demonstrate the ability to serve as a credible, inspiring, and impact-driven leader capable of influencing client organizations.
- Be willing to serve as a member of the Org Design Practice Group within Kraken, which involves working within a team of highly skilled Org Design Leads.
- Have the ability to work with and influence clients across different regions and cultures, as Kraken operates globally and is recognized as a Great Place to Work in multiple countries.
- Possess a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an understanding of the importance of accommodating different needs and perspectives.
- Be willing to engage in continuous learning about the energy industry, organizational design practices, and emerging technologies relevant to energy systems.
