Job Description
A Senior Security Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security measures across GoodLeap's enterprise systems, products, and services to ensure safety, resilience, and compliance, while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential misuse and abuse cases of enterprise systems and propose solutions.
- Manage security controls and activities during application development (build-time controls).
- Oversee security measures at runtime, including prevention, detection, and response.
- Design and build security patterns and practices for services and processes.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure system safety and resilience.
- Represent security aspects across governance, risk, compliance, and security monitoring.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security engineering or related roles with a focus on designing and building security patterns and practices for services and processes.
- Experience managing security controls during application development (build-time controls).
- Experience overseeing security measures at runtime, including prevention, detection, and response.
- Ability to identify potential misuse and abuse cases within enterprise systems and propose solutions to address these scenarios.
- Ability to identify product features, configuration settings, and implement mitigating or compensating controls to meet resilience requirements.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) related to security monitoring and organizational security needs.
- Experience managing or working with internally built products and security aspects across multiple departments or teams.
- Ability to involve and coordinate with other security team members as needed.
- Excellent collaboration skills to foster strong relationships with product, business, and engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills to represent all areas of security within the organization.
- Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities, including advisory, development, and operational roles related to security.
- Ability to work closely with product, engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure the safety and resilience of enterprise systems, products, and services.
- Experience in managing or implementing security controls during different phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of enterprise systems security requirements and resilience strategies.
