Job Description
A Staff AI Engineer responsible for developing and scaling payment technology platforms, with a focus on integrating AI agents powered by large language models to automate workflows and enhance customer payment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale payments platform and customer-facing payment products for security, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless payment experiences
- Shape and execute AI strategy using LLMs and other AI technologies to automate workflows and personalize products
- Explore and implement how intelligent agents can transform payment processes
- Balance short-term product needs with long-term platform capabilities to enable scalable innovation
Requirements
- Experience as a Staff AI Engineer or similar role with a focus on AI-powered applications and technologies.
- Proficiency in building and scaling payments platforms and customer-facing payment products that are secure, reliable, and performant.
- Ability to collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless payments experiences.
- Experience in shaping and executing AI strategies involving Agents powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI technologies.
- Knowledge of how to explore and implement intelligent agents to transform payments, automate complex workflows, and deliver personalized and adaptive product experiences.
- Ability to balance near-term product needs with building long-term platform capabilities that enable innovation at scale.
- Experience in developing or working with AI technologies related to automation, personalization, and adaptive systems in a payments context.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including security, reliability, and performance optimization for payment systems.
- Experience working in a team environment, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Willingness to perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers related to the position or department.
