The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial data, preparing financial statements, supporting internal controls, and ensuring accurate reporting for renewable energy construction projects, including collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes following internal control procedures.
Perform analytical functions to ensure accurate and timely general ledger month-end close, including financial statement analysis and preparation.
Prepare monthly draw packages for construction projects.
Support the preparation of financial statements and internal controls for multiple construction projects in accordance with GAAP.
Assist with researching technical accounting and reporting issues, including accounting principles and financial reporting rules.
Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support the annual audit process by compiling financial statements, footnote schedules, and responding to auditor requests.
Provide accurate general ledger account coding and support ad hoc accounting requests related to construction projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 4 years of experience in general accounting.
Knowledge of ERP accounting system.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts and provide high-quality deliverables accurately and on time.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Practical understanding and application of internal control processes and procedures over financial accounting and reporting.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including performing financial and analytical computations in Excel.
Detail-oriented and adaptable to changing working requirements.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude in embracing company goals and initiatives.

Salary range of $83,000 to $122,000 depending on location and experience
