Job Description
The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models across the full data engineering stack, with a focus on data modeling in the medallion architecture, to support reporting and analytics for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data models for Silver and Gold layers in the medallion architecture.
- Work with engineering teams, customers, and end-users to create efficient and useful data models.
- Handle the full Data Engineering stack from data ingestion to reporting.
Requirements
- Experience working with the full Data Engineering stack from ingestion to reporting, with a primary focus on Data Modeling the Silver and Gold layers in the medallion concept.
- Ability to work closely with other engineering teams, customers, and end-users to create and deliver efficient and useful data models.
- Proficiency in data modeling, specifically in designing and implementing Silver and Gold layers within a medallion architecture.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate technology or other office machinery such as printers and scanners.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with others.
- Work primarily conducted in an office setting, with some positions possibly allowing remote work at management discretion.
- Demonstrated flexibility to perform situationally assigned duties outside of the standard job description to support organizational efficiency.
