Job Description
The Battery Material Engineer will lead the development and optimization of advanced materials for next-generation lithium-ion and solid-state batteries, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve battery performance, stability, and longevity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation, development, and implementation of advanced battery materials and related processes.
- Collaborate with global material suppliers to evaluate and integrate new innovations into production.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to optimize performance and validate new formulations.
- Incorporate new materials into existing chemical systems to enhance cell performance, stability, and longevity.
- Drive the development of new materials and process platforms in line with the company's technical roadmap.
- Conduct failure analysis and technical troubleshooting related to materials and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical documentation and support to R&D and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years in material or product development, with solid experience in lithium-ion battery materials.
- Proven ability to independently lead material or product development projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and failure analysis experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
