A Mechanical Engineer at Factorial Energy will be responsible for designing and improving mechanical components and systems related to solid-state batteries, supporting manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality and safety standards in a fast-paced energy storage environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute mechanical design experiments to meet KPI targets
Design and validate clamping fixtures and support SOP alignment with customers
Perform quality checks and problem-solving related to mechanical designs
Support clamping process operations and testing for thickness uniformity and pressure distribution
Improve cell component mechanical design and update drawings
Design shipping packages and conduct risk assessments
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS) or Master's degree (MS) in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
1 to 3 years of experience in a mechanical design role to issue drawings in a product development environment
Skills and experience with a 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, CATIA, Creo, etc.
Skills and experience utilizing machining equipment such as a vertical endmill, band saw, lathe, welding, 3D printer, etc.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience working with lithium-based battery technology for 1 to 3 years
