Job Description
A Staff Software Engineer specializing in frontend development, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, scalable React TypeScript web applications, while guiding architecture, performance, and UI standards to deliver exceptional user experiences in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ship high-quality, polished frontend code with a focus on React TypeScript applications.
- Design and drive frontend architecture to optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product, and design teams to create intuitive, data-rich user interfaces.
- Set measurable goals to improve performance, user experience, and code quality.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and establishing high standards for UI development.
- Identify and implement technical and process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- Eight years of experience building modern web applications with Javascript, React, or similar modern frontend languages.
- Experience with backend development and an interest in working full-stack to get things done.
- Experience building enterprise software, applications with heavy data document processing, or software with users in niche industries.
- Proven track record of proactively identifying high-leverage technical and process opportunities and driving them forward.
- Knowledgeable in frontend architecture, best practices, and systems performance at scale, with the ability to navigate tradeoffs and create or evolve team-wide standards and libraries.
- Strong product and design sensibility with a passion for crafting polished UI and the ability to translate designs into high-quality, accessible code.
- Pragmatic, data-driven, systems thinker who makes decisions based on real user behavior and cares about execution and extensibility.
- Collaborative leader and mentor with experience in leveling up teams through code reviews, clear documentation, and setting high standards for UI quality.
