Key Responsibilities
Integrate with the Data Engineering team to develop and maintain core data products.
Collaborate across teams to build, enhance, and troubleshoot data platforms and pipelines.
Contribute to feature development, bug fixes, automation, and performance improvements in data systems.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes to ensure data system reliability.
Monitor cloud costs and optimize resource usage for efficiency.
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Current enrollment in or immediate graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in or related to data engineering.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in dbt and Sigma, and the ability to bring clarity to syntactic complexity.
Knowledge of a variety of file structures such as CSV, JSON, and Parquet, and understanding of when one might be preferable over others.
Drive and dedication for quality and performance in everything you touch, with a thirst for learning new techniques.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable collaboration in-office and online, and cultivated curiosity.

Knowledge of the difference between OLAP and OLTP RDBMS systems and when to recommend one over the other.
Some monitoring and dashboarding experience, e.g., with Snowflake, Sigma, or Datadog.
Ability to work in an agile environment, translating business and client needs into excellent data products.
Ability to contribute to mission-critical projects across the data lifecycle, including feature development, data platform enhancement, bug fixes, automation, and efficiency improvements.
Experience with pair programming, code review, and providing/receiving feedback.
Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution processes to improve operational efficiency.
Ability to monitor cloud costs across the toolset to maintain efficiency and justify expenses.
