Job Description
A Community Impact Associate supporting NineDot Energy's community engagement efforts by building relationships with local stakeholders, coordinating outreach activities, and tracking project milestones to ensure effective communication and community involvement in clean energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support community engagement efforts by building relationships with local stakeholders.
- Coordinate outreach activities such as distributing materials, scheduling meetings, and maintaining contact lists.
- Attend community meetings and events to represent NineDot and address community questions.
- Assist in planning and logistics of community workshops, open houses, and outreach activities.
- Create and distribute informational materials for community audiences in collaboration with marketing.
- Track and document community feedback and engagement activities in company databases.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely responses to community inquiries.
- Monitor construction schedules and align engagement strategies with project timelines.
- Prepare reports and presentations to highlight community impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, environmental studies, urban planning, political science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in community engagement or organizing, government relations, public affairs, or real estate development.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in data tracking and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel locally for community meetings and events approximately once a week, sometimes on weekends.
- Interest in renewable energy, environmental justice, and community impact.
