This internship offers hands-on experience in data engineering within the energy management sector, focusing on developing and improving data pipelines, monitoring systems, and supporting scalable energy programs for utility clients.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineers and receive mentorship to develop data engineering skills
Own and manage a high-impact data project during the internship
Work in an agile environment to translate product requirements into functional products
Improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution processes for energy products
Enhance production data pipelines to reduce technical debt and ensure efficient data processing
Requirements
Sincerely love data and all the things it can enable and empower.
Current enrollment in or immediate graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in or related to data engineering.
Proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience with modern data engineering tools such as dbt and Sigma.
Ability to bring sanity and clarity to syntactic complexity in data-related tasks.
Some monitoring and dashboarding experience with tools such as Snowflake, Sigma, or Datadog.
A clear understanding of the difference between OLAP and OLTP systems.
A basic familiarity with file structures like CSV, JSON, and Parquet.
