Job Description
A Software Engineer I role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that support energy efficiency programs and incentives, leveraging technologies like Python, Django, and relational databases to contribute to large-scale clean energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software systems supporting energy efficiency and incentive distribution programs
- Translate specifications into high-quality software deliverables within deadlines
- Enhance code quality through unit testing and resolve issues in continuous integration
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams including quality control and technical support
- Conduct code reviews and keep project stakeholders informed of progress
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and estimation discussions
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with Python and Django preferred.
- Experience with relational databases including MySQL, SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a passion for collaborative software development.
- Basic level understanding of security requirements.

Compensation range of $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience
