Job Description
A Senior Technical Project Manager at Energy Solutions is responsible for leading and coordinating large-scale technical projects related to energy efficiency programs, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery, managing cross-functional teams, and mitigating project risks while providing mentorship and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple medium-to-large scale technical projects ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Develop comprehensive project plans, delivery timelines, and dependency models for cross-functional initiatives
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Kanban, hybrid) to optimize project execution
- Coordinate between technical staff, system administrators, and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of goals
- Resolve complex issues related to system dependencies, data integrity, implementation constraints, or resource conflicts
- Anticipate and mitigate technical, operational, and stakeholder risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Review project documentation, requirements, testing artifacts, and delivery outputs for quality assurance
- Mentor and provide coaching to junior project team members and project contributors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferably in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Environmental Science, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex technical projects or project teams.
- Relevant project management certification or equivalent experience, such as PMP or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience managing software, data, or systems implementation projects involving cross-functional technical teams.
- Proven ability to anticipate risks, resolve complex technical issues, and mitigate project constraints independently.
- Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and common project management methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall.
- Advanced ability to manage dependencies, review work artifacts, and maintain quality standards across project lifecycles.
- Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and an ability to balance competing priorities.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of 107,000 - 140,000 annually, with a target of 107,000 - 126,000 based on experience and qualifications
