Job Description
The Senior Engineer at Energy Solutions will provide technical leadership and support for energy efficiency programs, develop and evaluate energy-saving measures, and mentor junior staff to advance the company's engineering capabilities in sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and guidance for engineering support across multiple energy efficiency programs
- Serve as a primary point of contact with clients regarding engineering requirements, progress, and outcomes
- Prepare and review engineering calculations for accuracy and documentation
- Develop new energy efficiency measures and present proposals to clients
- Interpret and monitor relevant codes and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
- Lead technical efforts such as market studies or projects annually
- Conduct engineering analyses to assess market potential of emerging technologies
- Perform cost analyses to support program design and implementation
- Evaluate the market and technical feasibility of measures for energy efficiency programs
- Manage budgets for technical projects and market studies
- Provide cross-functional engineering support within specific technology areas
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary engineering efforts
- Design and deliver technical training on technologies and energy savings strategies
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering mechanical, electrical, environmental, architectural, or related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of engineering or work experience in a related area OR a graduate degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional work experience.
- Knowledge of Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and other energy codes.
- Demonstrated ability to write reports, technical papers, and provide technical presentations to knowledgeable audiences.
- Project management experience including budget development and management.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to conduct occasional business travel.

Salary range: 102,000 - 125,000 annually
Target compensation: 118,750 annually
