The Systems Administration Manager at Energy Solutions leads the IT systems administration team, overseeing the implementation, support, and maintenance of networks, software, and cloud infrastructure, while providing leadership and ensuring best practices across the company's IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the IT systems administration team to maintain software and networks across a hybrid workforce
Implement, support, and maintain corporate networks, telephony, alarm systems, and security infrastructure
Develop and improve IT processes, best practices, and documentation
Ensure regular patching and updates of firmware, software, and operating systems on Windows and Mac systems
Lead development and management of company cloud infrastructure in MS Azure
Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, including supporting team members and serving as backup support
Collaborate with IT management and other departments to enhance IT security and support processes
Manage and support various software systems including MS Azure, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Datto RMM, Tableau, Slack, Zoom, InTune, and Alarm.com
Develop staff skills and career growth within the IT department
Report on project progress, trends, and resolution of significant issues
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
8 years of related experience in IT systems administration
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining networks
Experience implementing and configuring various software systems
Demonstrated experience in leading IT projects
Certification or knowledge in MS Azure desktop VMs, SharePoint, and Exchange Online
Familiarity with systems including Datto RMM, Tableau, Slack, Zoom, InTune, and Alarm.com
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Advanced knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, and networking troubleshooting
Ability to work and thrive independently
Ability to delegate tasks and supervise junior staff members within the IT department
Experience supporting and maintaining corporate networks, telephony, alarm systems, and cameras
Experience leading development efforts regarding company cloud infrastructure in MS Azure
Ability to develop staff to grow and succeed in various Information Technology career tracks
Ability to support and improve IT processes and best practices in collaboration with other IT management and leadership
Ability to support and maintain firmware and software updates and patches on Windows and Mac systems
Ability to serve as a backup support and resolve tickets as necessary
Ability to author processes and documentation related to IT operations
Ability to report trends, project progress, significant problems, and resolution status
Must pass a background check and drug screening as preconditions of employment
Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
