A Data Scientist I, Solar Programs at Energy Solutions will develop analytical models, dashboards, and data pipelines to generate insights for stakeholders, applying statistical and machine learning techniques to support energy and water-use savings initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining analytical models, dashboards, and reporting outputs.
Analyze datasets using statistical techniques and basic machine learning methods.
Perform data cleaning and transformation using Python or R following ETL workflows.
Prepare analytical outputs such as tables, summaries, and visualizations for review.
Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, and findings clearly.
Create visualizations like charts, tables, and dashboards to support stakeholder decision-making.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify data needs.
Participate in code reviews, documentation reviews, and team knowledge-sharing activities.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
At least 1 year of Python experience, including libraries like pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
Experience building basic dashboards or reports using BI tools, with Tableau preferred.
Experience developing analytical models or performing structured data analyses using a high-level programming language.
Foundational knowledge of descriptive and introductory inferential statistics.
Familiarity with common machine learning techniques.
Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Ability to work effectively on a team, manage individual work streams, and explain analytical results clearly to various audiences.
A technical test will be required during the interview process.

Salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 annually, with a target of $95,000 - $109,250 based on experience and qualifications
